Meet the Artists

Hi! I’m Judy Song I’d like to share a little bit about myself. I began my career as an assistant working for a really great company. I say it was great because it opened doors to top quality education and also taught me the discipline of practicing my craft. I soon realized hairdressing was my passion. Maybe that’s why I can’t believe it’s been 20 years. Time really flies when you enjoy what you’re doing! My career has allowed me to travel (Bumble & Bumble University NYC, The Redken Exchange NYC), The Vidal Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica, Ca., to name a few, I have been involved with management, education. I am thankful for the strong bonds I’ve cultivated with other like minded creatives. Since then until now, I’ve grown a lot in my craft. I love hairdressing and meeting new people, as well as nurturing the relationships I have built. I feel good making others look and feel good. I specialize in hair cutting, both commercial and cuts that are off the beaten path. Wavy, curly hair, short to long, I love cutting and coloring hair to create a completed look. Working with your natural texture is my strength. Wash and wear and keep it simple yet impactful. Did I mention I also provide razor cuts? I also dabble in some braiding. I work thoughtfully and am meticulous. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me. I hope to work with you soon.
Julie here. A truth teller of unrealistic expectations. I spent a year and a half learning the fundamentals of cosmetology, including the precautions, health, and safety for the services I provide. Got licensed and hit the road runnin. I started assisting for about another year alongside multiple skilled artists. They taught me the ins and outs of hairdressing besides the basics in school. t was an opportunity for me to explore the countless possibilities of making my career. There at school I realized the love for hairstyling. I got lots of joy from events, weddings, and fashion shows the years after. Until the entanglement of hair color stole my heart. I worked with multiple professional hair color companies ; volunteered countless hours to the understanding of chemistry to color. Class after nerdy class, I mastered the art of color. The art, the delicate burns, every illusion, cast, stain, & hue. 10 Years later, I am overwhelmed with joy from my craft, and who I share it with. I specialize in Color Corrections, Blonding, Blends and do everything in between. Transformational haircuts and haircolors are my jam! Ive worked in a massive salon for 6 years in Claremont. COVID hit and moved over to a private studio with my business partner, moved to Oregon for 4 years, and now back in our private studio in Claremont. So happy to be back! Thank you for your time and consideration! Hope to see you in my chair soon.
